On August 2, 2008, thirty WesternLawns employees began the process of turning the grounds at Mercy Hospital and the Oklahoma Heart Hospital into the grounds that accurately portray the quality healthcare both businesses provide. Days before the initial blitz of the grounds, WesternLawns management visited the grounds with Mercy Hospital officials in order to assess the needs and desires of the Hospital. With sections of the irrigation system no longer working, areas of turf that had not been mowed in weeks, beds that needed weeded and fresh mulch added, Mercy Hospital and the adjacent Oklahoma Heart Hospital needed a major overhaul of the entire grounds. On Saturday, when thirty WesternLawns employees descended on the Hospital, much change took place. It was the desire of WesternLawns to make an immediate impact upon the grounds! On Monday, August 4th when Hospital employees, doctors, nurses and patients saw a marked difference for the better. 
Since August 2008, WesternLawns has been providing daily maintenance services working to restore the Hospital’s curb appeal. In the fall of 2008, the Hospital’s main turf areas were overseeded with Rye resulting in a beautiful, lush green lawn which caught your attention from the Kilpatrick Turnpike as you drove by throughout the winter.
One of the main areas of concern for Hospital administrators was the overgrown landscaping around signage on the Hospital campus. With the addition of bright, colorful annuals and the correct pruning of shrubs, the signage is now attractive and gives a visitor an accurate portrayal of Mercy Hospital and the Oklahoma Heart Hospital. Recently, Derek Mountford, a Director at Mercy Health Network sent WesternLawns an email stating, "I just wanted to pass on how good the grounds are looking at the clinics. I have been in charge of the clinics for almost 9 years and they have never looked so good. Thanks for all you are doing."
